Turley 2009 Zinfandel Old Vine Rich gold in color, the aroma is heady and intense with complex notes of lemon verbena, fresh mango, and crème brulée. Further olfactory discovery leads to red ripe apple, cinnamon, toasted pineapple, and lemon/lime aromas. There is a hint of mineral steeliness, similar to wet river rocks, in the background. The wine has bright lemon/lime on the palate, continuing to ripe pineapple, and ending with a long, custardy finish.
